H I A T U S / / D R O P
Sometimes IRL gets in the way of things, and that's okay! RL should always come first, and sometimes we have to step back from out pretend-y barbies on the internet. Please use this page to let us know what's going on.
H I A T U S
Characters on hiatus have one of two options.
— Option 1 is a simple autopilot, where you character will go about their life as normal. They will be focusing on survival and getting through the day. They will not be harmed during this time.
— Option 2 will have your character go travelling with Methuselah. They will be unable to contact other characters during this time. This can come with benefits but also with risk. While your character can learn new skills with Methuslah needed for their survival, they can also fall foul to injury or illness. They may learn how to make snares, but could end up losing a couple of fingers to frostbite.
This is left to player choice, but we ask for players to submit their choice for mod approval in the issue of fairness. You're not going to become efficient in archery for a mild case of the sniffles, for example.

It's desert pilgrimage time again! There'll be a period of a few days where I will be in civilization but mostly it'll be nigh impossible to load anything on the internet.

How did your character go?: Aurora please! Could we possibly say it was this most recent one?
Additional comments: I plan to try coming back when I'm back on my feet. I love this game and everyone has been so kind and patient, but irl just seems to keep getting worse for me and I'm just unfairly squatting at this point. In the middle of divorce and trying to sell my house I lost my job, my phone, and for a moment my place to live. I finally got my phone turned back on, but that took longer than I expected so I couldn't clear my strike in time. All that plus the stress of being trans in the USA right now is just too much for me. Once I'm moved and I have income again I'll try to return !! Wish me luck !

How did your character go?: Option 2 - The general outline is that Crozier gets attacked by an animal, Raju finds him but can't save him, Raju may or may not get injured fighting the animal(s) but either way he and his lightbringer feat promptly sets on fire the animal(s) that did it, himself, and as large an area of the surrounding forest as the feat will allow me, because he's a dramatic boy and if you can't be dramatic in your death scene when can you?
Additional comments: The plan is for Fitzjames to find the bodies, and I'd like for Fitzjames to also have access to Raju's cabin and all the stuff in it.
I do plan on finishing the threads I currently have going, I just won't be starting others after that. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into this game, thank you for all the time I've spent playing here!

Character(s) being dropped: Francis Crozier
How did your character go?: Option 2 aka Crozier finally gets the one thing he didn’t get in canon.
To echo Xil in their own drop comment above: Crozier is fatally injured in some sort of animal attack that happens in the middle of the wilderness. He’ll die quickly, and then Raju will react in an appropriately-dramatic fashion. Their bodies will be charred, but there will be evidence that Crozier was injured.
Additional comments: Crozier’s things, including his very warm parka and sealskin outfit, will be in his cabin. Fitzjames will be the one to have access to it, but if there’s drama that happens after that with Crozier’s extensive supplies I’ll leave that up to Ami. C:<
