Hello! I'm not sure if you're familiar with The Long Dark, but the basis within the game is due to massive geomagnetic anomalies — all electronic equipment has been affected. Cars, radios, computers and most other modern technology have been rendered useless. The world has entered 'The Quiet Apocalypse'.
Singillatim follows this. Technology has been rendered broken and useless by the Aurora. From a meta standpoint, we really feel that the use of electricity outside of Auroras and batteries would be countering a lot of the inspiration Singillatim is based on. It's not about fixing the electricity issue and fixing the Interloper's living situation, it's about learning how to survive in a world where the modern comforts we've known are gone and living without them.
It's possible the character might not be a good fit in the game — not every character is, and that's okay!
