Thank you for considering this Horror Situation!! I didn't want to overflood you with all the specifics to begin with / would definitely detail more in a potential app, but I can explain more to paint a better picture!
Basically, the creature is an extremely weak, slimy, soft thing and must predominately live inside of Konstantin's body. When it needs to feed, it knocks him unconscious and then exits his body through his mouth. It can only exist outside of him for up to an hour each day (being extremely sensitive to light, this is usually during the nighttime). The way it feeds is by exposing itself to a victim to frighten them (therefore triggering a release of cortisol), and then it snacks away.....
Typically this is a violent process that doesn't leave a victim alive (it eats on their brains to get the blood there...it's fine,) but I was thinking that due to the setting itself (extremely cold, which it can't handle well at all), the creature would be further weakened here. It already can't even open doors or anything like that, so no worries about it being like this rampant alien running around town attacking people HAHA. I don't plan to have it ever feed from other characters, so there'd be no danger there! I was thinking maybe it could munch an NPC or two along the way, (if allowed of course!) but would really just stick to animals that Konstantin would procure for it. Being stuck to animals would mean that they're both pretty weak as a result, and my thinking for this character in this survival horror game would definitely be more "guy afflicted with a gnarly alien parasite and is really sick all the time" and not "powerful alien times" by any means! (In fact, I don't see most characters ever bumping into it because of it being kept in seclusion / the particular way I could utilise the setting.) Because of the setting affecting it, it could also need to stay inside of him more than usual (refusing to come out.....), and he would often have to feed from blood himself, like you said.
That said, if you prefer that it never exits him and just has to permanently stay inside of his body, I totally understand! I just wanted to check and see if it might be possible to keep that factor after explaining it better, since it's a key component to how it functions / the horror of this particular character, but he can absolutely still be worked with if not. Thank you for taking the time to read all of this!!
